Dr. Protevi-How is it supposed that cultural practices affect the neuro-endocrine system?

Dr. Protevi-I believe I may have some understanding. Is it something like prolonged elevation of cortisol levels stimulate the neuro-endocrine system which in turn induces changes in affective cognition? I'd like to here more about gendering practices, too.

There's a recent book entitled Neuroconstructivism that can bring you up to date. Here's the Tiny URL to the Amazon page: http://tinyurl.com/4h78ws. Or try Bruce Wexler, Brain and Culture.
